概要

The intelligent infrared comb combines advanced technology with traditional hair tools, aiming to provide users with an efficient, comfortable, and multi-functional hair combing experience.


経緯

The design inspiration for this product comes from my observation while reading social media that many people are struggling with scalp health issues, such as clogged hair follicles, imbalanced oil secretion, and sensitive redness. When I saw that they couldn't solve it, I was inspired by this product.


機能

Firstly, the most important part of the product is the principle of infrared detection technology: it uses near-infrared spectroscopy analysis to detect hair follicle activity and sebum secretion status by penetrating the scalp surface with specific wavelengths of near-infrared light. Using high-sensitivity infrared sensors to capture scalp temperature distribution and identify abnormal areas (such as inflammation or circulatory disorders). Secondly, its protective mechanism includes a built-in high-precision temperature sensor that continuously monitors the temperature at the contact area of the comb teeth, and automatically cuts off the power when the safety threshold is exceeded. Adopting a contact based start-up mechanism, the detection function will only be activated when the comb teeth are fully attached to the scalp, avoiding energy waste or potential risks caused by idle operation.


開発過程

After I came up with this idea, I first looked into similar products on the market, such as infrared beauty devices and so on. After gaining a general understanding of its working principle, I drew some sketches to design its appearance. The appearance design should not only conform to ergonomics but also have a sense of technology. After making multiple changes, I finally came up with a more satisfactory design. Consider existing technological advancements and make secondary changes to make them implementable.


差別化

Adopting a 3D curved surface design that conforms to the head shape curve, the comb teeth are made of elastic silicone material to ensure zero pressure fit when in contact with the scalp. The bottom hidden LED strip can display the working status in real time, combining technology and aesthetics. The comb body adopts a magnetic quick release design, which can be separated into three parts: detection module, vibration module, and liquid storage tank. The storage tank is equipped with a leak proof silicone valve, which can maintain sealing even when tilted at a 45 degree angle, making it easy to carry around. The main framework is made of German alloy material, with nano silver ion coating implanted into the comb teeth, which has a 99% antibacterial rate and avoids the risk of cross infection.


将来の計画

This infrared intelligent detection comb is mainly targeted at high-end beauty care consumers and urban white-collar workers aged 25-45. It can help more people solve scalp problems and help them overcome difficulties.
