Was es macht

There are a number of people in the hospital and at home, who can not move without a respirator. SANSO can bring unlimited freedom of movement to everyone who now breathes with the aid of an oxygen mask or oxygen concentrator.


Deine Inspiration

I was inspired by jellyfish. The thin tissue in a jellyfish makes respiration easier, because it allows oxygen to diffuse into their cells and they can save oxygen in their thin-layer. Nowadays there are small oxygen concentrators the size of mini bags, but they still require the use of silicon tubes connected to the nose or a face mask. How could they move free without oxygen concentrator ?


So funktioniert es

SANSO is attached on breast skin. 1 Step: First part of SANSO is a suction tube, which is worn around the neck and sucks in ambient air. 2 Step: Air sucked into the tubes will be moved forwared into molecule sieves which located on the right side then execute the second filtering of the air which transforming air to the oxygen. 3 Step. The oxygen is moved into the main element, which compress the oxygen molecular. 4 Step: The oxygen is carried into superficial arteries through microneedles. the other oxygen is stored in left side for the next movement.


Designprozess

I started drawing with blue colored pencils. When I drew „the sea“, I asked myself how the sea animals breathe. the sea animal „jellyfish“ had no gills at all. How does the jellyfish breathe? Direct Diffusion: the jellyfish has a different breathing system compared to the other sea animals. In the Jellyfish, oxygen enters through the epidermis, the thin outer layer of skin, and into the skin. In layer of skin, oxygen is abosorbed by cells and is taken into the metabolic area of the jellyfish. Then think about How people can breathe especially when they have respiratory problems. That was the start of Sanso.


Warum es anders ist

SANSO allows the unrestricted movement. Patients do not need or carry cumbersome oxygen concentrators everywhere. Respiration with SANSO provides patients of all age groups with substantial convenience.


Pläne für die Zukunft

External feedback and mining would be great for the next steps. This Concept could develop further with professional medical technology and help people who need it. One of potential enhancements would be a SANSO-App that could control and monitor the device.
