What it does

Your inspiration
A personal experience that led me to a deep understanding of the challenges faced by visually impaired people, as I am now one of them, and one night of despair and melancholy came this idea. Instead of seeing my situation as a limitation, I turned it into a driving force to create a solution that would not only improve my own life, but also provide autonomy, security and hope to thousands of people with similar difficulties. My project, born out of a real need for inclusion, is designed to transform lives, offering a way to connect the world in a way that had not been imagined.
How it works
The smart glasses project uses advanced technology that integrates cameras, sensors, microphone, headphones and a routing link system to maintain a seamless connection between the user and the monitor. This system, through a secure data network, allows the monitor to receive real-time visual information on his or her computer and provide clear indications through the headset. Thus, the user can move around more safely, avoid obstacles and receive constant support. In addition, the system allows other guides to connect if the main guide is not available, ensuring a continuous and reliable experience. This solution not only improves the mobility of visually impaired people, but also generates inclusive jobs, becoming an innovative, human and scalable proposal that transforms lives.
Design process
The design process for the smart glasses begins with research into the needs of people with visual and motor disabilities. From there, the design is conceptualized, choosing components such as cameras, sensors, microphone and earphones, and the routing link system for remote communication is defined. Next, materials for the housing and appropriate technologies are selected to ensure durability and functionality. Prototypes are developed and tested by real users to obtain feedback and make adjustments, improving the comfort and efficiency of the system. At the same time, software is created for the monitors, ensuring that they can see the user's environment and give clear instructions. After final testing, the product is manufactured and released to the market. Finally, the team maintains and updates both the hardware and software as needed. The entire process ensures that the glasses are functional, accessible and improve the autonomy and safety of visually impaired people.
How it is different
What makes it unique is that it is not only a technological device, but a solution that integrates human interaction in a direct and accessible way. The glasses not only provide visual information to the user, but also enable real-time communication with a remote monitor, someone who will guide the user, giving clear instructions via audio. What distinguishes it even more is that this monitor can be a person with motor disabilities who, having the ability to use a computer, becomes an essential part of the process, promoting labor inclusion. In addition, the routing link system ensures a smooth and uninterrupted connection between the user and the monitor, allowing constant assistance tailored to the user's needs. On the other hand, the design is lightweight, comfortable and adaptable, ensuring that users can wear it for long periods without discomfort.
Future plans
The next stages of my design include creating a working prototype with cameras, sensors, microphone, headphones and an intelligent linking system. Then, I will do real tests with blind people to perfect its use. In parallel, I will develop the software so that people with motor disabilities can be remote guides. My goal is to make these glasses not only give autonomy to those who cannot see, but also generate inclusive employment. I want to demonstrate that technology, when designed with empathy, can change lives and build a fairer future for all.
