What it does
The aim is to streamline the process of carrying around various packaging for medication and health supplements to provide convenience. Other attachments can also be added, such as phones and keys. It also accommodates users with different water bottles.
Your inspiration
Active individuals often find it difficult to carry and remember to take their health supplements or medication on time, which can affect their overall health and performance. Without a convenient way to keep these essentials accessible, they may miss doses or struggle to maintain a consistent routine. Going forward, the product does not just dedicate to people who leads active lifestyles, but also those who required to have their medications everyday where have the trouble to bringing different packaging of medications around with them (which may be troublesome).
How it works
1. Slot your bottle into the sleeve 2. Place your pills and powder into the 3D Printed Compartments at the bottom 3. Add your accessories i.e., phone pouch to the Velcro straps That's it!
Design process
In Iteration #1, the design makes use of low-resolution prototyping to do quick and inexpensive testing focusing on functionality and user flow rather than visual details. In Iteration #2, the design makes use of medium-resolution prototyping which offers a more detailed representation of the product without expensing extensive time and resources. Materials were brought to simulate the actual product. This allows for material testing to determine if current materials are suitable for actual usage. 3D Printed materials were also used to demonstrate the pill and powder compartments. Finally, for Iteration #3, the design makes use of high-resolution prototyping to create a highly detailed final design which allows for realistic testing and user feedback. The final product retained the 3D-printed pill and powder compartments but featured a layer of denim fabric above an additional layer of insulation. In this version, the pill and powder compartments were also wrapped in denim and insulated fabric for enhanced protection.
How it is different
1. Double Insulation of Sleeve - The product is made from recyclable Denim (other fabrics would work too) and a second layer of neoprene to allow the drink to be kept cool/warm throughout the day. 2. Integrated 3D Printed Pill/Powder Container - Fits both medical and sustainability purposes with PLA material which could be easily recycled. 3. Velcro straps for accessories - Users can attach anything to the sleeve, including phone pouches, keys, and wallets 4. Fits bottles of any size
Future plans
The team would plan to research more in-depth into the incorporation of adjustable straps to ensure a snug fit for different bottle shapes. Secondly, the team plans to incorporate a magnetic pouch lining, enabling users to effortlessly attach their bottle sleeves to gym equipment. This added feature provides hands-free convenience between workout sets. Lastly, the team would be looking more into the idea of offering customization options for the users. For example, customizable materials, straps and pouches can be introduced to empower users to express their personal style and identity.
