No Residue Bottle- A New design of pump head

It can make the liquid in the bottle be completely pressed out through the cooperation of the inner components of the bottle, so that there is no residue in the bottle.

What it does

The no residue bottle is a new design. I have improved some problems of ordinary pump head. For example, the shampoo can not be pressed out at the end and the shampoo sticks to mouth and body of the bottle. It is suitable for storing various viscous liquids.


Your inspiration

Maybe you have encountered the same problem. Whenever the body wash or shampoo is used until there is only a little bottom left, the liquid in the bottle cannot be pressed out by us. I usually do this by turning the bottle upside down and letting the liquid at the bottom flow out along the wall of the bottle. It is troublesome, because shampoo or body wash itself is very viscous liquid. It is waste of time to put the bottle upside down and let the liquid out. So I decided to improve the bottle of ordinary body wash. A bottle that can completely press out the liquid.


How it works

When the pump head is pressed down by hand, the pressure in the bottle has been large, the spring is compressed, the glass ball valve is closed, the stem moves downward, the outlet hole on the stem is opened, The liquid in the pump body enters the inner pipe from the outlet hole, then flows out of the pipe, and finally reaches the bowl-shaped pump head. When the hand is loosened, the spring recovers, the pressure in the bottle decreases, the stem moves upward, the liquid outlet on the stem is closed, and the ball valve opens. Under the action of atmospheric prressure, the liquid enters the pump body from the dip tube through the ball valve, and shrinkable dip tube and rubber pad move up at the same time.


Design process

At the beginning, I discovered this problem, it is hard to press it out when there is only a little bit of shampoo at the bottom of the bottle. Through research, I found out that it's because the liquids like body wash and shampoo are too viscous. When only the last bit of liquid is left, the pump boby cannot suck out the viscous liquid through the action of pressure, and the viscous liquid sticks to the wall of the bottle. This wastes part of the body wash and shampoo. One day it was raining and I saw the wiper on the car window, I think I can use something like a wiper to wipe off the viscous liquid on the wall of the bottle. Then I added the rubber pad to the bottle design. And connect the rubber pad to the dip tube, and let the dip tube become retractable. the dip tube and rubber pad can shrink with the amount of liquid in the bottle. This can solve the problem that the body wash cannot be pressed out when only a little bit is left at the bottom of the bottle. Then I made a 3D model.


How it is different

The biggest difference is the retractable dip tube, the rubber pad at the bottom of the bottle and the bowl-shaped pump head at the head of the bottle. The retractable dip tube and rubber pad are solve the problem of not being able to press out when there is only a little liquid left at the end. It can shrink with the amount of liquid in the bottle, and there are many small holes in the wall of the tube, allowing liquid and air to pass. And the dip tube bottom is connected to the rubber pad, the rubber pad can prevent the liquid from infiltrating. And the bowl-shaped design is solve the problem of shampoo sticks to mouth and body of the bottle. It can store a small amount of liquid temporarily, and can be out of the mouth to the liquid. In addition, the whole bottle uses environmentally friendly material wheat fiber plastic. It is made of wheat straw and polymer resin compound, it can be degraded within 6-18 months under composting conditions.


Future plans

I will perfect the structure of the bottle. It is made of environmentally friendly material, I hope it can be promoted vigorously. Maybe can get cooperation with the manufacturer, so as to promote this environmentally friendly residue-free bottle.
