This product works by using wind power like the windmill that turns the fan. The bottle contains a small ball that will produce a sound. This product aims to develop children’s motor skills.

According to experts, lack of outdoor playing can cause health issues, have emotional repercussions and may even impair social skills among children. According to one article by Dr. Vipul Singh, Psychiatrist in GSVM medical college, playing outdoor in groups helps kids learn the art of coping up with winning and losing. If they do not learn this at an early age, they will find it difficult to cope with challenging and unfavorable conditions later in life. This leads to stress followed by behavioral problems. When children play or exercise, a hormone is secreted from hypothalamus gland in brain which is a mood booster. In addition to the problem statement, I also read about how our Malaysia government want to encourage more students to have interest in STEM subjects and how important for parents to help their children to love science and engineering from their small age.

怎樣運行的

Playing outside provides children with something many children don’t get enough of anymore – exercise. Exercising while having fun is the best kind of exercise like riding bikes. My target user is for the children and I aimed to make them to be interested with the outdoor activity - cycling. Shaking Bottle Exhaust is basic educational science tools where children can dissemble few part of the bottle exhaust and finally attached to the bicycle. This product works by using wind power like the windmill that turns the fan. The bottle contains a small ball that will produce a sound. This product aims to develop children’s motor skills.

設計過程

I started with observing few games and outdoor activities that children are enjoying to do. I interviewed parents and their children on what types of outdoor activity that they prefer to do it together then I do few sketches of my ideas and develop from then. I start the prototype development by combining few recycle materials such as bottle and unused plastic part. The challenges that I faced during this prototype development is to portion the fan in the center and to ensure it turns around.

To develop this idea into better prototype. This project can be one of the potential affordable 'tools' for parents to purchase for their children to enhance their motor skills.
