Designed to sterilize your frying pans after washing and keep them perfectly dry and hygienic.

영감의 원천

After using a frying pan at home and washing it, water often remains on the surface, allowing bacteria to survive and multiply. This can lead to food poisoning. Just like how people shake off water from their toothbrush after brushing and place it in a toothbrush sanitizer to keep it clean, placing the frying pan into a product that sterilizes and dries it can reduce harmful substances and allow it to be used more hygienically.

작동원리

First, press the power button on the right to turn it on. Open the product cover, flip the frying pan over, and place it onto the sterilizing and drying rack. Close the cover (the device will not operate if the cover is open). Then, adjust the timer on the side to set how long you want to sterilize and dry.

개발 과정

I first thought about the form of the product. I focused on whether it would be convenient to place the frying pan inside without anything getting in the way. That’s when the idea of a record turntable came to mind, and I used its shape as inspiration for my sketches. During the modeling stage, I designed it so that the frying pan could be inserted upside down, similar to placing a record onto a turntable. I also created a groove to allow the handle of the pan to fit naturally and extend outward. I learned that UV light can be harmful to the human body, so I designed the product to stop operating if the lid is opened while in use. I placed the power button and the timer controls on the right side of the product to make operation and adjustment easy and convenient.

독창성

There are many types of sterilizers for kitchenware on the market. However, there haven’t been many products specifically targeting frying pans. In the kitchen, most cooking is done using a frying pan. With this product, users can sterilize their frying pans for their desired amount of time, allowing them to cook with a cleaner pan and enjoy safer meals. Its simple and sophisticated design makes it a good fit for any kitchen.

향후 계획

The product I’ve designed is currently an integrated, single-piece design. In the future, I plan to make it detachable so that it can be used conveniently when families go camping or traveling together.
