Para qué sirve
To quickly generate much of the information required for bridge executive projects, including geometric and structural drawings, rebar tables, and material volumes; in addition to facilitating interaction between associated disciplines
Qué te inspiró
The motivation is that bridge projects are normally carried out on a fast track basis and time is quite pressing, so it is necessary to be agile in generating information and in interacting with the different disciplines involved. Changes arise that force us to rework, but with the implementation of BIM technologies, the impacts of these changes can be mitigated while we can reduce the economic costs that this entails.
Cómo funciona
It works through the implementation, use and training of software associated with BIM technologies managed by a BIM team and bridge analysis and design software managed by the engineer responsible for the project. In this implementation, there must be interaction between all disciplines associated with bridge projects. With this, we can identify critical points in the development of activities, monitor risks, and know the status of the project in real time.
Proceso de diseño
Together with the disciplines of drawing and drafting, the processes with a high probability and feasibility of being improved were identified, among these the generation of geometric and structural plans, cubing of materials and automation of changes.
Qué lo hace diferente
With the implementation of BIM technologies, the generation of geometric and reinforcement drawings for bridge projects is improved and streamlined. The level of detailing of structural elements is greatly improved. Models and mock-ups of bridges are created in which geometries, volumes, reinforcing steel with their corresponding diameters, radii, hook and bend lengths, and overlap lengths can be detailed. This facilitates the generation of rod lists and the cubing of materials. The implementation of changes is facilitated, as is the interaction with all the disciplines involved.
Planes para el futuro
Investment management in the implementation of BIM technologies for bridge projects. These projects, on paper, are small, but sometimes feel like they aren't given the importance they deserve. However, if not managed correctly, they can lead to suboptimal use of human, technical, and material resources, resulting in unforeseen cost overruns at the start of the project.
