What it does

It is a building that will provide service for all students and teachers to use and learn .

Your inspiration

From some architecture books.

How it works

Judging from the floor plan, the first floor may be set up with main activity spaces, such as communication and learning areas for multiple people to gather, equipped with stepped seating and other facilities, which are convenient for holding lectures, group discussions and other activities. The second floor may focus on relatively quiet functions, such as small - scale seminar rooms, meeting the needs of different groups of people. Multifunctional and Composite: As a temporary public space on campus, it can flexibly switch functions. It can serve as a place for students to communicate during breaks and study in groups, and also as a venue for teachers to conduct temporary seminars and hold small - scale academic activities, improving the utilization rate of space. Entrance Guidance: The general floor plan and circulation analysis diagram show that multiple entrances and exits are set up to guide the flow of people in and out in an orderly manner.

Design process

Site Analysis: First, conduct a comprehensive survey of the site where the building is located on campus. Understand the topography and geomorphology of the site, such as whether there are slopes and height differences; study the surrounding natural environment, including the distribution of trees and sunlight conditions; analyze the surrounding pedestrian flow and traffic flow lines to determine the accessibility and convenience of this temporary public space. Through these analyses, identify the advantages and limitations of the site, providing a basis for subsequent design. For example, if there are many trees around the site, consider integrating natural landscape elements into the design. Needs Research: Conduct extensive research on campus teachers and students through questionnaires, interviews, etc., to understand their functional requirements for the temporary public space. Students may hope for more areas for communication, study, and leisure; teachers may need spaces for seminars and small - scale lectures. At the same time, understand the expectations of teachers and students regarding the spatial atmosphere, daylighting, and ventilation, collect their opinions and suggestions, so that the design can better meet the actual usage needs. How it is different

It is different from traditional school buildings in shape and function.

Future plans

I hope it will help other schools to build more useful buildings.
