What it does

"Porcelain Realm" is a digital interactive application designed specifically for the China Ceramics Museum. It takes blue-and-white porcelain as its core visual inspiration and deeply integrates traditional aesthetics with modern interactive technology.

Your inspiration

As the "Millennium Porcelain Capital", Jingdezhen's ceramic culture is a treasure of the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, carrying thousands of years of historical memory and exquisite craftsmanship.

How it works

Figm software was used for page and interaction production, and photoshop was used for mapping prototypes and display renderings. Illustrator was used for layout of the display board. Finally, the video was displayed by recording the screen through Obs, and then video editing and creative display were performed in AE and Pr.

Design process

Target user segmentation: tourists, ceramic enthusiasts, students, researchers, overseas audiences, etc. The needs of different groups vary greatly (for example, tourists want to quickly understand the highlights, while researchers need in-depth information).

How it is different

Most museums’ UI designs are either too traditional (static display + simple graphics) or too technological (cool but lacking cultural depth). Your design combines ceramic aesthetic elements (such as blue and white tones, glaze gradients, window-style layouts) with modern interactive methods (AR/VR, gesture operations, dynamic micro-interactions), which not only retains the oriental charm, but also provides a smooth digital experience.

Future plans

The UI interactive design of the China Ceramics Museum can develop in the direction of being more intelligent, immersive and culturally profound in the future. By combining advanced technology with traditional cultural elements, a more attractive and educational user experience can be created.
