What it does

Public breastfeeding has become a global challenge. As breastfeeding gains increasing recognition, the lack of nursing facilities forces many mothers to breastfeed in public spaces, exposing them to both embarrassment and hostile reactions.

Your inspiration

The nursing pillow integrates a built-in nursing cover and incorporates elements from China's intangible cultural heritage - the cloth tiger crafts. The mother-and-cub tiger motifs symbolize protection and nurturing, creating a perfect fusion of traditional culture with modern design to deliver thoughtful care for nursing mothers and infants.

How it works

This product innovatively integrates the craftsmanship of the intangible cultural heritage cloth tiger. It uses flat stitch and seed stitch embroidery to present classic patterns, shaping the images of the mother tiger and cub; draws on its exaggerated modeling, creates a practical contour through patchwork sewing and improved filling; selects hand - dyed cotton fabric, presents iconic colors with plant dyes, integrates the traditional meaning of protection into modern design, and balances cultural inheritance and practical functions.

Design process

We solved public breastfeeding challenges with a portable system featuring quick-cover technology and heritage-inspired tiger designs.

How it is different

The nursing pillow integrates a built-in, quick-deploy nursing cover and incorporates the mother-and-cub tiger motifs from China's intangible cultural heritage - the traditional cloth tiger craft. These symbolic tiger designs represent protection and nurturing, creating a harmonious fusion of traditional culture with modern functionality.
