What it does
It solves the problem of cigarette butt recycling caused by smokers littering cigarette butts in life, the problem of cigarette butt pollution is becoming more and more serious and reduces the amount of money that recycling companies spend on recycling.
Your inspiration
The phenomenon of littering cigarette butts in daily life is not uncommon, through interviews with smokers and cigarette butt recycling companies, it was found that the cost of cigarette butt recycling is too high, but cigarette butts have a high recycling value, cigarette paper tobacco can be recycled as fertilizer, and in the investigation, it was found that the company's recycling of cigarette butts is to recycle the filter and cigarette paper tobacco separately, so I have the idea of processing cigarette butts through the trash can, which can help the recycling company reduce costs and improve the recycling efficiency of cigarette butts.
How it works
My design is to cut the cigarette butt vertically through the blade through the conveyor belt in the trash can, then use the thimble to separate the filter from the cigarette paper tobacco, the conveyor belt to send the latter into the inner compartment 1, and then use the mechanical arm to complete the filter into the disinfection bleaching compartment after programming, and finally pull the partition when the filter is taken out, and the liquid in the disinfection bleaching compartment enters the compartment 2 through the drainage device, and the filter is taken out for recycling. The cigarette paper tobacco in compartment 1 is removed by opening the compartment door.
Design process
At first, I wanted to use the form of APP accumulation points to stimulate the urge of smokers to throw cigarette butts into the trash can, but considering that throwing cigarette butts is a short-term act, this method allows smokers to scan the code after throwing cigarette butts, which greatly extends the time required to throw cigarette butts, so I rejected this design method and instead attracted cigarette butts by painting promotional slogans and internal mechanisms on the barrel body. At the waterproof level, I consider that if the waterproof measures are not perfect, it will lead to damage to the internal mechanical device, and the initial idea is to design a cigarette butt input port with a slope around the upper part of the trash can, but the waterproof performance is not perfect, and the direction of cigarette butt cutting cannot be guaranteed, which will lead to incomplete cutting or even no cutting, reducing the recycling efficiency, so the most unpretentious fully enclosed trash can is adopted, and a cigarette butt input hole is opened on the side, which can not only ensure waterproof performance, but also ensure the correct cutting direction of cigarette butts.
How it is different
Although other garbage cans on the street also have compartments for throwing cigarette butts, but due to the recycling of various garbage, the compartment of recycling cigarette butts has a high probability of being blocked, which not only reduces the recycling efficiency but also increases the risk of fire, 7% of fire accidents in China are caused by littering cigarette butts, but my product design can effectively prevent the occurrence of the above situation, one of them recycles cigarette butts alone, and the recycling hole opened on the side will effectively reduce the probability of throwing other garbage into the barrel, even if it has been thrown into the garbage can, it will be sent into the compartment with the conveyor belt 1, Second, the concept of this product is to pre-treat cigarette butts at the beginning of the design, which can effectively reduce the steps and costs of subsequent cigarette butt recycling.
Future plans
My future development direction is to put cigarette butt recycling bins in public places, reduce the number of discarded cigarette butts, increase the recycling rate, and then persuade smokers through recycling slogans, so that we can protect the only planet together.
