What it does
ADAI-RD is tool that uses AI to develop the most cost-space effective options for retail sonification layouts. It analyses the physical characteristics of a proposed location and the parametric cost per square meter to create a layout with the best solution.
Your inspiration
The design of an architectural and block plan or sonification layouts is the first step when designing a retail store, this first step is key to understand if the footprint of the location is adequate for the project and to estimate the cost of the Project. Currently the proposals for architectural block plans are drawn by the design teams according to each designer's experience and the understanding of the requirements form the commercial team, one design at a time, consuming time for the project in general. As an architecture retail design team manager it is necessary to work more efficiently.
How it works
ADAI-Rd is a plug inn for REVT that uses AI to develop the most cost-space effective options for retail sonification layouts. ADAI-RD analyses the physical characteristics and restrictions of a proposed location, the requirements for commercial use and the parametric cost per square meter to create a layout with the best solution.
Design process
1.- Developing architectural designs in 3D using AutoDesk tools is the basis for building information modeling BIM. 2.- The product can be programed using Python with commercial software’s by Autodesk, including Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC ) and Dynamo. 3.- These tools can implement IA that uses generative constructions designs. 4.- By developing a product that’s compatible with Autodesk tools it can be used for the executive design processes.
How it is different
By caring out a real, win worth analysis I can explain what makes this project different to similar products: Is there a need? - Yes, architecture design is falling behind keeping up with new technologies. Can the customer buy it? Will the customer buy it? - Customers are buying similar products for real-estate development. Is there a viable product concept today? - The is no viable product in the market today. Is the product acceptable in social, legal and environmental standards? - The product is completely legal. Is the product feasible? - The technology exists, but it has not been adapted to retail design. Do we have a competitive advantage? - We have a complete advantage because there is no similar product in the market. Is it the right time? - The need for a similar solution is overdue, similar markets are developing their own solutions. Are we going to beat the competition? - The competition lacks user flexibility and is focused on other markets.
Future plans
The next steps in the project are: - Setting up the development environment - Cresate a new project in Visual Studio. - Ensure the project's .NET Framework version is compatible with Revit. - Add references to the RevitAPI.dll and RevitAPIUI.dll files, which are typically located in the Revit installation directory. - Implement the IExternalCommand Interface. - Utilize the Revit API to interact with Revit's data and functionality. - Interacting with the Revit user interface. - Use the Transaction class to manage these operations. - Create an Add-in Manifest File - Build the Visual Studio project to create the .dll file.
