What it does

It achieves the integration of pulse detection and constitution analysis through multi-sensor fusion collection of structure and AI intelligent dialectical system, realizing the data analysis and interpretation of pulse images.


Your inspiration

With the continuous growth of grassroots medical demands, the problem of standardization in traditional pulse diagnosis has become increasingly prominent. Traditional pulse diagnosis relies on the experience of physicians, and the shortage of social medical resources limits the coverage of services. We hope to alleviate the pressure on medical resources by using technological means.


How it works

It integrates the traditional Chinese diagnostic methods of observation, auscultation, inquiry, and palpation into three stages. It utilizes local AI integration to achieve rapid responses. During the pre-diagnosis conversation with the AI, it collects physical data. In the exhalation test, it analyzes the chemical composition of the human body. Finally, it measures the pulse rhythm using a pulse detector, integrates the results, and analyzes the body report. Users can choose to send it to a professional doctor or use the corresponding treatment methods analyzed by the AI.


Design process

To analyze the predicament of the inheritance of traditional Chinese pulse diagnosis experience in the community, we systematically reviewed the pulse diagnosis section of "Chinese Diagnosis" and 7 modern research papers on pulse graphology, and conducted interviews with 5 provincial-level renowned traditional Chinese medicine practitioners (including 3 national-level intangible cultural heritage inheritors). Based on the literature analysis of the "indistinct finger sensation" in pulse diagnosis (such as the pressure perception difference of the same pulse type under the hands of different practitioners reaching 35%), we established the core design goal: to construct a quantitative model for pulse patterns that does not require experience-based interpretation, complete the simultaneous analysis of the three zones of cun, guan, and shu within 3 minutes, and keep the cost within the affordable range for community clinics. The most crucial aspect was the transformation of the "lifting and pressing seeking" technique into standardized mechanical language.


How it is different

The core difference of this product lies in the deep integration of traditional Chinese medical experience wisdom and artificial intelligence. Compared to similar devices that only perform shallow classification of physiological signals, this device incorporates the clinical intuitive experience of renowned Chinese doctors and the diagnostic logic from classic ancient texts to construct a decision-making system with the characteristics of traditional Chinese thinking. Its uniqueness is specifically manifested in three aspects: Firstly, it establishes a regional adaptive mechanism, which can dynamically adjust the criteria for pulse diagnosis based on climate and cultural differences; Secondly, it pioneers a human-machine mutual feedback learning model, continuously optimizing the diagnostic model in clinical practice.


Future plans

This pulse measuring device will continue to focus on achieving core technological breakthroughs and upgrading its inclusive capabilities. It will particularly tackle the issues of non-intrusive pulse image monitoring and multi-modal syndrome differentiation integration technology, aiming to reduce the equipment cost to a level accessible in rural areas.
