Your inspiration
We noticed many people facing issues like overheating, battery swelling, and power banks slipping off their phones during use. These problems can damage devices and pose serious safety risks. Our idea came from observing these real-life frustrations, especially during long travels or intense mobile gaming sessions. We wanted to create a solution that improves user safety, comfort, and convenience significantly. By combining a cooling fan, shock absorber, and grip feature into one compact and durable design, we aim to reduce battery damage, prevent drops, and offer a safer, longer-lasting charging experience for everyday users everywhere.
How it works
Our design solves common power bank issues by combining a cooling fan, shock absorber, and grip-enhancing surface. A quiet internal fan cools the battery to prevent overheating, even during long use. Soft rubber padding inside absorbs shocks from drops, protecting internal parts and extending lifespan. The textured outer surface increases grip, preventing slips during use. All features are built into a compact, lightweight design with a rechargeable battery that powers the fan without draining your phone. This ensures safer charging, longer battery life, and better convenience for everyday users.
Design process
We began by identifying common power bank issues—overheating, battery swelling, and slipping during use. This inspired us to design a compact solution that combines cooling, shock absorption, and better grip. We started with initial sketches to plan the shape, size, and placement of components. Then, we developed a 3D model in SolidWorks to view the design from all angles, optimize airflow, and position the shock absorber effectively. After finalizing the design, we bought materials like a small fan, rubber padding, and textured grip material to build our first prototype. We tested it for cooling, impact resistance, and grip. Based on the results, we improved the fan size and airflow, used softer rubber, and selected a better surface texture. The current prototype now offers efficient cooling, strong protection, and user-friendly grip in a sleek design.
How it is different
Our design is unique because it integrates three key features—cooling, shock absorption, and grip enhancement—into one compact power bank, unlike most products that focus only on charging capacity. The built-in quiet fan actively cools the battery during use, preventing overheating and extending battery life, without draining the phone’s power. The shock absorber, made from soft rubber padding inside the case, protects internal components from damage caused by drops or bumps, improving durability. On the outside, a specially textured surface increases grip, preventing the power bank from slipping off phones or surfaces during use. This combination of active cooling, impact protection, and secure grip in a lightweight design delivers enhanced safety, reliability, and convenience for everyday users, travelers, and mobile gamers—making our product stand out clearly from others on the market.
Future plans
The next steps for our design include improving the prototype by testing and refining the cooling fan’s efficiency, shock absorber’s durability, and grip material’s effectiveness. We aim to use lighter, more durable materials to enhance portability while maintaining protection. We will also focus on making the fan quieter and optimizing battery use to extend its runtime. In the future, we hope to develop a final product that is compact, reliable, and safe, providing users with a better charging experience. Our goal is to bring this innovative power bank to everyday users, travelers, and gamers worldwide.
