Your inspiration
The pain of daily insulin injections inspired DermPrep. Seeing my grandmother's struggle, I combined medical ultrasound with microfluidics to create a needle-free solution. Existing options were either ineffective beauty tools or complex medical devices - DermPrep makes professional transdermal tech simple for home use.
How it works

Design process
The DermPrep journey began when I discovered how unreliable traditional transdermal patches could be. My first prototype used a repurposed dental scaler and basic gel pads - it worked but overheated and was too bulky. The second version featured a custom ultrasonic module and precision gel delivery system, though we hit a snag when the gel thickness interfered with the sound waves. After months of testing different formulas, we cracked it. The real breakthrough came when we added smart skin-sensing technology and visual feedback through color-changing gel. Testing with actual patients revealed how much these small details mattered - one longtime insulin user said it finally made patch medications predictable. The final design combines medical-grade safety with simple operation, all while keeping costs affordable.
