What it does

During a rescue operation, it is not always possible to pass to the location of the incident by vehicle. In such situations, we all know, that time and strength matters. The rescuePYTHON System is our solution.


Your inspiration

Looking for common interests, we found out that we all have friends and relatives in the emergency services. The rescuer have to brings a lot of physical and mental power to achieve a mission. Our goal is to relieve there work. The idea came pretty early to design a portable system combined with a stretcher, to support the rescue operation.


How it works

How it works: The harness is designed to be put on quickly and effortless. The size of the harness is adjustable by the waist and shoulders. The L-Grips can be taken, from there resting position, in the hands to grab the stretcher. Through the automatic interlock-system the stretcher rest at the height it is pulled up to. The weight is now distributed on the rescuer. Construction: The inner life consist mainly out of metal. The L-shaped metal builds the base of the whole construction, to which everything is attached. The pivot point is the heart of the mechanism, which is secured by the whole interior construction. The mechanism is held simple, so that after each operation, it can be controlled and if it is needed, be repaired. This is a requirement of the emergency services, for all their equipments.

With the cooperation of the ETH and ZHdK, it was possible to develop this project.


How it is different

Conclusion: This product can help to discharge the weight from the hands. While holding the injured you can have one or both hands free and you have enough space for the legs while walking or running. It is a light and compact system, who is fit for service and for a intuitive use.


Future plans

We have been focused more of rescuing humans. However there are some other area of application, by them you will be glad to get some support during a transport of heavy objects.
